Occupational and safety shoes require tremendously high standards in planning and construction. Our main focus is not only on design and wearing comfort. It is equally important to comply with existing standards and guidelines, such as the safety shoe standards EN ISO 20344 - 20347 or the ESD standard DIN EN 61340.
In order to meet the demands of all customers in the long term, Abeba carry out numerous experiments and tests, which ultimately enables us to develop the shoe that optimally meets all requirements.

Working in professions with sensitive electronic components requires a high degree of precision and understanding of the products you work with. While a small electrical discharge - e.g. after running over a PVC floor with your new favorite sneakers - is only noticeable to us as a slight pinch, sensitive components such as a laser head or similar can suffer permanent damage from even the smallest spark. For this reason, it is of particular importance in these working areas that the charge generated by the person is constantly discharged via the floor to the earth potential.

MICROFIBRE LINING
The microfibre linings that we use in our shoes are certified by OEKO-TEX® STANDARD 100 which is an independent, extensive testing and certification system. In the course of the certification all components of the tested products have been reviewed for different kinds of noxious substances, most of the time even beyond the legal guidelines.Depending on how sensitive the skin is and how much a product is in contact with skin, OEKO-TEX® will adjust the specifications of its testing to be either strict or more lenient. According to the certificate our linings could thus be used for babies and small children, too.

CODURA
Cordura® is a robust polyamide fabric that combines the advantages of natural and synthetic fibers. The basis for Cordura® is a nylon fabric. The smooth nylon fabric is textured to make it more pleasant to the touch. For this purpose, the cut polyamide fibers are spun again and then woven. The result is a crimped structure that is otherwise found in natural fibers such as wool or cotton.
This special treatment makes it possible to combine the advantages of synthetic and natural fibers in one material and to strengthen them.
Cordura® has a higher abrasion resistance than conventional nylon so that the material can be stressed over a longer period of time without major wear and tear.
Cordura® is water-repellent and dries quickly.
A-MICRO
A-micro is an innovative high-tech material which is especially water-resistant and breathable. It even surpasses hydrophobic leather.
It is washable up to 30°C without shrinking and anti-bacterial, which is making it perfect for the use in hygienic sensitive areas. Additionally it can be equipped with various treatments such as silver ions.
Due to its special structure it is light and smooth but at the same time very tearproof and resistant. A-micro replicates leather visually without turning yellow due to direct sunlight.
