With the new XR® outsole system from ATLAS®, you will arrive at your destination sure-footed. Using the latest production technology, the perfect combination of nitrile outsole and MPU® midsole is produced using a direct foaming process. This involves the interaction of several factors: The ergonomic tread design of the nitrile outsole ensures extreme grip, abrasion resistance and supports natural movement. With the highest slip resistance class SRC, it offers reliable grip even on slippery surfaces. In turn, the midsole is primarily responsible for soft cushioning. It is based on the unique multi-functional polyurethane, or MPU® for short. The combination of the particularly profiled nitrile outsole and the extremely energy-absorbing and simultaneously stabilizing midsole guarantees the wearer unconditional grip on all surfaces.

With the puncture-resistant XP® technology, ATLAS® offers an innovative system to protect the foot against sharp objects such as nails. A high-tech textile material containing aramid fibers is used for this purpose. This means that the increased safety is not at the expense of comfort, as the textile is metal-free, extremely light and supports the natural torsion of the foot. The anatomically shaped steel toe cap protects the foot in the toe area against impacts of at least 200 joules and a compressive load of at least 15 kN, in accordance with EN ISO 20345:2012. The MPU® overcap offers special protection against abrasion in the toe area, protects the upper leather in this area against premature wear and noticeably increases the service life of the safety shoe. GORE-TEX functional lining offers the best performance in wind and weather. Reliable waterproofing prevents moisture from penetrating. High comfort indoors, perfect protection outdoors, all year round. The GORE-TEX membrane allows heat and moisture from the feet to escape to the outside, ensuring a pleasant foot temperature, even on hot days.

The innovative sole system forms the basis for this outstanding walking comfort and offers pressure relief, cushioning and dynamics for the wearer, thanks to the perfect combination of a pressure-relieving insole and the lightweight and responsive MPU foam.
