ESD consulting and assessment
In modern production environments in particular, where ever smaller and more sensitive components are being processed, the risk of electrostatic discharge increases significantly. Even minimal discharges that are often imperceptible to humans can be enough to cause latent damage to components. Such so-called "hidden faults" often go unnoticed and only lead to failures or malfunctions later - for example at the end customer's premises.
Structured ESD protection measures are essential to reliably manage these risks. These include earthed workstations, suitable ESD materials, trained personnel and a well thought-out concept for the regular inspection of all relevant areas. Professionally organised ESD protection makes a decisive contribution to ensuring product quality, reducing rejects and complaints and increasing the efficiency of the entire production process in the long term.
ESD consulting
Are you already in the starting blocks and just waiting to plan your EPA and then put it into operation? Our ESD experts will work with you to develop a customised and individual concept for your ESD protection zone. Depending on the conditions on site and your products, there are a wide variety of processes and areas that require ESD protection and attention.
Who benefits from ESD consulting?
ESD consulting is aimed at all companies that do not yet use an ESD system but would like to plan and introduce one.
ESD assessment
Equipping an EPA correctly so that all the requirements of DIN EN 61340 are met is a very complex task and requires a lot of work and time - we know that! And that is precisely why we want to work with you to identify and eliminate any shortcomings or weak points. This way, your company is sure to pass the next audit and your customers can rely on the flawless quality of your products.
Who should consider an ESD assessment?
The ESD assessment is aimed at all companies that want to review or expand their existing EPA.
What is an EPA anyway?
The Electrostatic Protected Area (EPA) is a controlled area in which measures are taken to protect sensitive electronic components from damage caused by electrostatic discharge (ESD). Within the EPA, electrostatic fields and potential sources of discharge are controlled in order to minimise ESD risks. Typical measures include dissipative floors, earthing systems, special clothing and tools. Compliance with EPA standards is crucial for quality assurance in electronics production, as even the smallest discharges can irreparably damage components.
