What requirements apply to ESD office equipment in EPA zones?
Workplace equipment such as document sleeves, clipboards or loose-leaf binders within EPA areas must be designed to be dissipative so that no insulating materials are introduced into the protected zone. Even seemingly simple office items can generate electrostatic charges and jeopardise sensitive electronic assemblies.
Why are ESD warning signs and barrier systems used?
EPA warning signs mark electrostatically protected areas and prevent uncontrolled access without suitable protective measures. In electronics production and test bays, they support compliance with ESD protection concepts in accordance with DIN EN 61340-5-1. Barrier systems also help to organisationally demarcate defined EPA zones.
What advantages do ESD adhesive tapes offer in EPA areas?
ESD adhesive tapes prevent electrostatic charging during labelling, packaging or temporary fixation within EPA zones. In contrast to conventional adhesive tapes, they have dissipative properties and reduce the risk of electrostatic discharge when handling sensitive assemblies.

Mobile Field Service Kits are used for service, maintenance and repair work outside stationary EPA workstations. They typically contain mobile earthing solutions, ESD mats and accessories for temporarily setting up a protected workstation at the customer's premises or in the field.
