Become an ESD specialist
The ESD specialist training course teaches all the essential basics of ESD protection in electronics production in accordance with the ESD standard IEC / DIN EN 61340-5-1. No previous knowledge is required. Participants learn about the most important ESD standards, physical properties of electrostatics, ESD protection measures and labelling in an ESD protection zone (EPA) and gain a sound understanding of ESD protection.
The training focusses on practical knowledge that can be implemented directly in everyday working life. Participants learn about the minimum requirements for standard-compliant ESD protection and how typical hazards can be recognised and controlled. The content is specifically aimed at people who regularly work with ESD-prone components or have access to EPAs and have to act responsibly there.
ESD specialist training at Weidinger
Objectives:
Intensive introduction to ESD protection, overview of possible ESD protection measures and what practical solutions look like. The difference to the ESD coordinator training is the focus on the ESD basics and the ESD control elements as well as their practical implementation.
Target group:
Our ESD specialist training is aimed at department heads, group leaders and employees from product development through to dispatch who regularly handle ESD-sensitive components (ESDS) or have irregular access to an ESD protected area (EPA).
