Why are ESD storage containers important for electronic components?
Electronic components can be damaged by even small electrostatic discharges. ESD storage containers prevent uncontrolled voltage differences during storage and transport. Conductive coil stands, containers and trays are therefore used in electronics production and logistics.
What are the differences between conductive and dissipative transport containers?
Conductive containers dissipate electrical charges very quickly and are often used for transport applications. Dissipative systems reduce charges in a more controlled manner and minimise the risk of sudden discharges. Dissipative materials are predominantly used for sensitive electronic assemblies.
When are ESD transport trolleys used?
ESD transport trolleys are used to safely transport electronic assemblies, circuit boards or components within EPA areas. They have conductive castors and surfaces so that no electrostatic voltages are generated. Typical applications include production lines, storage areas and material supply in electronics production.
