Why are ESD work coats used?
ESD work coats reduce electrostatic charges from normal clothing and support controlled working conditions in EPA areas. They are often used in electronics production, test bays and laboratory areas.
What are the requirements for ESD work coats?
ESD work coats must contain conductive fibres and meet defined discharge values in accordance with DIN EN 61340-5-1. In addition, fit, wearing comfort and material resistance play an important role in daily production use.
When are long work coats used in electronics production?
Long work coats are used when larger areas of clothing need to be covered. This makes it easier to control electrostatic charges from textiles underneath.
