ESD partition wall, size S, dissipative polycarbonate screen, 750 x 750 mm
Why are ESD partitions used?
ESD partitions structure work areas and help to protect sensitive electronic assemblies from uncontrolled electrostatic charging. At the same time, they serve as a mechanical demarcation between individual workstations or production areas within the EPA zone.
What materials are used for ESD safety barriers?
ESD safety barriers are usually made of dissipative plastic, acrylic or polycarbonate with defined resistance values. The materials prevent electrostatic charging and at the same time provide visual protection or shielding between work areas.
What requirements apply to protective systems in EPA areas?
All protective and separation systems used must be designed to be dissipative and must not have any insulating surfaces. Controlled discharge values and integration into the existing ESD protection concept in accordance with DIN EN 61340-5-1 are crucial.
