Techman Robot - collaborative robotics with integrated image processing
Techman Robot develops collaborative robots (cobots) that are specially designed for easy operation, flexible application options and co-operation with humans. Weidinger GmbH is a certified partner of Techman Robot in Germany and, in addition to robot systems, also offers complete workstation solutions for industrial applications.
A key feature of Techman robots is the integrated camera system. Among other things, it enables the recognition of objects, colours and barcodes as well as the automatic determination of the position and orientation of components. The direct integration of the camera into the robot system eliminates the need for additional external image processing solutions. The system is set up via a graphical user interface based on the Microsoft Windows operating system. This allows the robot and camera function to be controlled via monitor, keyboard and mouse without additional hardware.
The robot is programmed using drag & drop with the TMflow software. The user interface is based on flowcharts into which individual function blocks can be integrated - for example, motion sequences, camera actions or gripping commands. Previous knowledge of traditional programming is not necessary. In combination with the guided setup, in which the robot is positioned manually, applications such as pick & place, dispensing or screwing can be set up in a short time.
Techman's cobots fulfil the requirements for human-robot collaboration in accordance with ISO 10218-1 and ISO/TS 15066. The safety functions are individually configurable and are based on speed and force limits that can be adapted to the respective working environment. An automatic stop function in the event of collisions ensures that the robot can be used in the direct working environment of humans without the need for an enclosure.
Another feature is the support of plug & play accessories. Numerous grippers, screwdrivers and other tools can be connected directly to the robot without complex integration. All certified TM accessories are tested for compatibility and prepared for use with the TMflow software. Complete workstations - stationary or mobile - are also available and can be customised to the respective applications.
The range of applications for Techman robots extends from assembly and handling tasks to more complex activities such as soldering, screwing or testing. Thanks to the combination of integrated image processing, simple programming and flexible safety architecture, the Cobot is suitable for automated series production as well as for small, varying batch sizes.
Weidinger GmbH supports customers in the selection, commissioning and integration of Techman robots into existing production environments. Depending on requirements, complete robot cells or individual workstations can be configured. The focus is on customisation to specific tasks - whether in electronics production, mechanical engineering or logistics processes.
