BIMOS FIN ESDThe revolution in standing work. Put an end to strenuous standing work.
Particular care must be taken when handling sensitive components such as printed circuit boards or semiconductor-based circuits, especially in electronics production. Uncontrolled electronic discharges (ESD) can cause great damage in microelectronic components. In relation to size, the energy of a static discharge in a semiconductor behaves like a lightning strike in a tree. The problem is that the damage to electronic assemblies caused by the electrostatic discharge is sometimes not immediately visible and the perpetrator often does not even notice it himself.
To avoid invisible damage to sensitive components caused by ESD, they must be processed, handled, packed and stored in an ESD-protected environment - a so-called EPA . Only in this way can electrostatic charges be discharged to earth in a controlled manner and avoid charging caused by frictional electricity.
A "normal" chair is a source of electrical charge. The movement of the person sitting on it alone is sufficient for this. The rolling of the chair - e.g. on a synthetic carpet - causes additional charging. Wherever electrostatic charges are risky, it is imperative that chairs, standing aids and stools are equipped with conductive features and offer ESD protection. The ESD-compatible work chair is an essential criterion for reliable ESD protection at the workplace. It is one of the most important factors for an effective ESD concept. Optimum ESD protection can only be achieved if the work chair is optimally designed for use in ESD areas. Accordingly, a work chair, for example, must have a leakage resistance of at least <10^9 Ω. A good ESD work chair has - in addition to the specifications regulated in the EN 61340 standard - a conductive upholstery, volume-conductive plastics, conductive coated steel parts and volume-conductive castors and glides. The individual components must be connected to each other in such a way that reliable overall conduction is ensured.
Bimos is the European market leader for ergonomic and safe work chair solutions. In the ESD sector, people often sit very statically, which often leads to physical complaints. Thanks to the sophisticated industrial ergonomics that characterise an ESD work chair from Bimos, the employee always remains well supported and protected.
The Neon, Nexxit and Fin series from Bimos are specialised for working in ESD environments. In addition to the important work-related specifications described above, the Bimos task chairs have other additional advantages.
The shape of the seat shells is chosen in such a way that the employee still retains maximum freedom of grip. In addition, the upholstery of a chair plays a central role - with Bimos chairs you can choose from a wide range here.
Body-friendly support, practical handling and unconditional robustness - modern industry places special demands on the properties of work chairs. With its unique industrial ergonomics and simple, intuitive adjustment to the respective user, the Nexxit ESD task chair from Bimos automatically ensures correct sitting. At the same time, it impresses with a high level of comfort and extreme resistance for use in industrial environments. This makes the Bimos Nexxit a strong partner for any kind of task.
Whether for intensive use or minor collisions - the Nexxit work chair can always be relied on in everyday industrial life. It rises to every challenge and can take a lot of punishment. The chair construction is conventional and without risk factors. The materials used are characterised by the highest resistance to typical industrial influences. The connecting element between the seat and backrest, for example, is made of robust steel, as is the stable base. The practical functional handles also ensure safe handling during transport between different areas of use.
Nexxit offers the right padding for the respective task. From resistant to easy-care to breathable and comfortable - the selection of high-quality materials makes Nexxit the optimal choice for all applications in the industrial environment. All Nexxit work chair models are also available as ESD versions according to EN 61340-5-1 standard. For the ESD protection zone, the special upholstery variant Supertec is particularly recommended as the cover material. Thanks to the micro-armouring, it combines the advantages of fabric and integral foam, is soft and comfortable, cut-resistant, breathable, very resistant, non-slip and easy to clean.
When it comes to the highest visual demands in combination with ergonomics and comfort for conductive work chairs, there is no way around the ESD work chair Neon from Bimos. Like all ESD versions from Bimos, it far exceeds the current standard. In combination with its excellent design, the Neon bridges the gap between the highest technical requirements and sustainable sitting pleasure.
As different as the workplace requirements are, as diverse are the variants of Neon. No matter whether it is used at high or low workplaces, whether it has glides or castors, whether it is equipped with or without a climbing aid or whether a specialist is sought for production, ESD or laboratory work areas: Neon always remains Neon! All 3 Neon ESD work chairs are available with either permanent contact or synchronous mechanism.
Every work area has its own requirements for upholstery and cover materials. For this reason, Neon offers a choice of four upholstery variants: the Duotec fabric, Magic imitation leather, integral foam or Supertec, the world's first among upholstery materials. No matter which surface you choose, Neon offers the highest level of quality, seating comfort and a pleasant seating climate.
Almost every second employee has to stand for long periods of time at work. Problematic: standing for long periods puts a strain on the human organism and is responsible for numerous diseases of the cardiovascular system and musculoskeletal system. With the height-adjustable Fin standing aid, Bimos offers the ideal solution for all work where it is not normally possible to sit, but standing becomes too strenuous in the long run. The standing aid is also approved for use in special ESD areas.
The practical comfort handles are integrated into the side of the washable seatfläche of the Bimos Fin ESD. This ensures a safe feeling at all times when sitting down, leaning against and standing up. The Fin standing aid can be moved easily thanks to the integrated holding, pulling and carrying handles. The extra-wide comfort seat made of soft touch PU foam invites you to sit down and provides an optimal and comfortable sitting feeling even during longer use.
The comfort seat can be rotated 20 degrees to the left and 20 degrees to the right. This creates flexibility and freedom and increases the user's radius of action to tackle any task dynamically. Thanks to its clear and space-saving design, the Fin standing aid from Bimos can quickly find a suitable place anywhere, because Fin can be seen - even in the ESD protection zone.
