WELLER
In 1960 Carl E. Weller patented his "Magnastat" soldering iron, which used a magnetic element to regulate the temperature at the soldering tip. A lot has changed since then. Today, the focus is on automation, connectivity, solder fume filtering and ergonomics. However, digital change isn't passing by soldering technology either, and the topics of mobile and cloud computing solutions, artificial intelligence, learning machines and many other forward-looking technologies are becoming increasingly important at Weller.
