For standard-compliant ESD measurement according to IEC 61340-5-1, ESD measuring instruments with a TerraOhm measuring range and a test voltage of 100V DC are required. It is also necessary to determine a measured value. Devices with a range indicator or pass/fail statement are only used for checking and do not provide any information about the actual condition of the material.
A connection for measuring probes must be available in order to establish a standard-compliant structure.
