Waldmann - manufacturer of technical lighting solutions for industrial working environments
Herbert Waldmann GmbH & Co KG has been developing and producing technical lighting for professional use for several decades. The company is based in Villingen-Schwenningen. Waldmann is part of the Waldmann Group, which also includes the Derungs brand. Product development takes place in-house, focussing on industrial, medical and office-related lighting solutions. Within industry, electronics production is a central field of application.
Waldmann provides various luminaire models for workstations in electronics production, which differ in terms of design, performance class and mounting type. The lights are designed to provide long-term support for manual activities that require a high level of precision and detail recognition. This includes soldering, assembly and inspection work on electronic assemblies. The aim is to provide uniform, glare-free illumination of the relevant work areas while minimising shadows. The range includes magnifier lights with integrated magnification as well as classic task lights with variable light distribution.
An integral part of the portfolio is the TEVISIO series, which is a magnifier light with LED technology specially designed for visual inspection and precise manual work. The combination of optical magnification and high light quality enables reliable assessment of surfaces, conductor paths and solder joints. The light can be adjusted without tools and adapted to different visual tasks. For workplaces with higher mechanical loads or environmental influences, Waldmann offers lights with a closed design and increased protection against dust and splash water. These include the models in the ROCIA series, which are equipped with an articulated arm, flexible arm or fixed bracket, depending on the version.
In addition to the lighting function itself, integration into higher-level workplace concepts also plays a role at Waldmann. Many models can be connected to existing workstation systems or combined with existing fixtures. The selection of accessories is correspondingly wide. ESD-compliant versions for use in EPA areas are also available. In these versions, the luminaires fulfil the requirements of the DIN EN 61340 series of standards and contribute to the safe dissipation of electrostatic charges.
Production takes place at the main site in Germany. The lights are also distributed worldwide from there. Spare parts, service and documentation are available for long-term use. The product lines are regularly revised, with technical updates being implemented gradually. The aim is not a fundamental change of function, but rather continuous optimisation in terms of energy efficiency, durability and operability.
