At ATLAS®, only the best quality cowhides are processed. Extremely careful selection ensures that only flawless, high-quality and soft leathers are used. The ATLAS Waterproof smooth leather has to withstand special challenges throughout the entire working day. The approx. 2mm thick full-grain cowhide leather is particularly characterised by its lasting waterproofness and thus ensures dry feet for several hours. It is also particularly breathable, durable and dimensionally stable.

Pointed objects, high temperatures and liquid materials are not uncommon in the heavy and chemical industries, in metalworking companies or in hot areas. With its DUOSOFT sole technology, ATLAS has developed an outsole concept that is precisely tailored to the needs of these working environments. In addition to the thermal insulation of the sole complex (HI) and the behaviour of the outsole towards contact heat (HRO), a certain cut resistance and robustness is also of particular importance. The individual tread blocks offer maximum flexibility for optimum ground contact. The coarse tread with a depth of 4.5mm significantly reduces the risk of slipping on wet or frozen ground. With the latest production technology, the perfect combination of nitrile outsole and MPU® midsole is produced using the direct foaming process, thus giving the wearer a secure step.

The anti-puncture steel midsole is made of corrosion-resistant stainless steel and protects the foot against sharp objects such as nails. It has been optimally adapted to the last fit and foamed into the midsole material. This means that you are optimally protected even during long and hard indoor and outdoor use.

The anatomically shaped steel toe cap protects the foot in the toe area against impact of min. 200 joules and a compressive stress of min. 15 kN, according to EN ISO 20345:2012.

The overcap offers special protection against abrasion in the area of the shoe toe, protects the upper leather in this area against premature wear and noticeably increases the service life of the safety shoe.

Work healthier with the right cushioning. The new 3D cushioning system from ATLAS® enables noticeably gentle and fatigue-free walking. The basis for this outstanding walking comfort is formed by three basic components: Pressure relief. Cushioning. Dynamics. This is ensured by the perfect interaction of a pressure-relieving insole and the light and responsive MPU sole technology.
