In addition, the time required is reduced by a factor of 3. Another highlight of the speedE II is the integrated material protection function. In the case of sensitive screw connections, such as plastic covers for sockets, it is important not to overtighten, as this can damage the material. In this case, the speedE II automatically switches off at 0.4 Nm and leaves the user in full control to sensitively complete the final tightening by hand. If screwdriving tasks require more force, the second generation speedE® offers the option of increasing the electrical force to 1.0 Nm using a slide switch. The colour of the slimBits serves as an aid to ensure that the correct force level is set according to the respective application. The red slimBits with the smaller profiles are used in the red sliding position, the yellow Power slimBits with the larger profiles indicate that work can be carried out in the more powerful yellow sliding position. If more force is ever needed, the speedE® II can still be used to manually apply up to 12 Nm without being damaged. During the electrical screwing process, the integrated LED provides permanent light for an optimum view of the screw. Thus, in poorly lit working environments, the luminous LED can be used as a flashlight by tapping the ring switch. The enlarged ring switch and the smooth rotation guarantee even greater ease of use.
