The power combination pliers 02 01 180, the power side cutter 74 01 160 and the high-tech water pump pliers Knipex Cobra 87 01 250 together make up the power package from Knipex. This designation can be taken quite literally, because all three pliers stand for high efficiency in gripping, holding, cutting, turning and countering due to their design and material. They are forged from carefully selected special tool steels in special quality, oil-hardened and assembled in modern processes: for a long service life, for high efficiency when working.

Side cutters with approx. 64 HRC, combination pliers with approx. 63 HRC cutting edge hardness.
The high cutting performance of the power side cutter and the power combination pliers is due to the fact that their cutting edges are additionally inductively hardened to approx. 64 HRC and 63 HRC respectively. Professional users know what performance these figures stand for.

Thanks to the optimized high-performance transmission, the power combination pliers require 35% less hand force than conventional combination pliers. Gripping, holding, bending, cutting, pulling: with low hand force and high force on the workpiece. Both pliers are forged from special tool steel in special quality.

Made of chrome vanadium electrical steel: the high-tech water pump pliers
The Knipex Cobra water pump pliers are forged from chrome vanadium electrical steel. The opening width is adjusted directly on the workpiece: place the upper jaw against the workpiece, press the button, push the lower jaw towards you, release the button, and the pliers are adjusted for a precise fit. A hand-friendly grip position is found with the fine adjustment. Thanks to the self-clamping effect, all hand force can flow into a turning movement, for example. The 250 mm length of the pliers produces a high leverage force, which is permanently and reliably transferred to the workpieces by the additionally induction-hardened gripping teeth.
