Voltage Detector Volt Detector EX-protected, non-contact, single-pole, 12 - 1,000 V AC incl. 2x AAA batteries (44309)
Increases your efficiency: Integrated, bright LED flashlight.
Saves time: Fast voltage testing through non-contact measurement.
Increases your flexibility: Voltage tester covers a wide voltage range from 12 - 1,000 V AC.
Increases your efficiency: thanks to internationally adapted measuring tip, can be used for all sockets worldwide.
Application: For detecting and locating live conductors, cable interruptions and breaks, blown fuses, defective lamps on fairy lights and single strand detection.
Before beginning an electrical installation, electricians must ensure that the work environment is free of voltage. A voltage tester is needed to test alternating electric fields or to locate suspected sources of faults. An initial indication of whether there is no voltage is possible with the Wiha non-contact voltage tester thanks to its visual and acoustic signal. After switching on, the permanently green LED indicates that the tester is ready for operation. During voltage testing, the LEDs light up from blue (weak) to orange to red (strong) depending on the strength of the alternating electrical field. Two AAA batteries are required for use, which are included in the scope of delivery. If the device is not used for 4 minutes, it automatically turns off to save energy. An integrated LED flashlight provides measuring point illumination in dark environments and can be used as a flashlight by manually turning it on and off. Thanks to its handy size, the voltage tester with clip fits comfortably in any shirt or trouser pocket. Thanks to the internationally adapted measuring tip, the voltage tester is suitable for all socket variants worldwide. The single-pole voltage tester is subject to the EN 61010-1 / IEC 61326 standard and is designed for CAT IV 1,000 VAC. Furthermore, the tool is approved according to the ATEX standard for use in potentially explosive atmospheres (category II).
For electrical applications
Before and after each use, test the voltage tester on a known voltage source to ensure proper operation.
