STP soldering tip, chisel-shaped, 3.8mm
SxP soldering tip cartridges are the standard soldering tip program for the Metcal soldering systems of the MFR-1110, MFR-2210 and MFR-1351 series. The second letter in the part number indicates the temperature series. The SFP temperature series have a nominal temperature of 390 ˚C. Metcal recommends the SFP series for most applications. However, Metcal offers a higher temperature series called SCP, which is 450 ˚C and is suitable for high temperature and thermally demanding applications. The STP series has a rated temperature of 330 ˚C for low stress applications. They can be used with leaded and lead-free solder. Metcal's "SmartHeat® technology" automatically adjusts the power levels to the needs of the application.
