CVC Chisel-Shaped Soldering Tip, 600 Series, 1.78 mm

CVC and SMC solder tip cartridges are the standard range of solder tips for Metcal CV-5200, CV-500, MX-500, MX-5200, and MX-5200 series soldering stations. All cartridges are available in 4 temperature ranges: 600 Series nominal 330 °C, 700 Series nominal 390 °C, 800 Series nominal 440 °C, and 900 Series nominal 470 °C. The temperature/series is indicated by the first digit in the numerical portion of the part number; e.g., all models in the 600 Series are CVC-/SMC-0xx, in the 700 Series are CVC-/SMC-7xx, in the 800 Series are VC-/SMC-8xx, and in the 900 Series are CVC-/SMC-9xx. Metcal recommends the 700 Series for most applications. The 600 Series is suitable for low-load or low-temperature applications, while the 800/900 Series is designed for high-temperature applications with high thermal demands. Can be used with leaded and lead-free solder. Metcal’s “SmartHeat® technology” automatically adjusts the power levels during each soldering operation.
